On our kayak tours we can already see the large schools of fish coming in as temperatures drop a little and large dolphin pods are happily chasing a feed and enjoying the quiet waters of Honeymoon Bay. Turtles rest close to the quiet shore line and have been a real highlight on our kayak tour in the clear shallows of Double Island Point. The drive along the beach from Noosa and Rainbow Beach on our day and half day kayak tours have been a thrill but are about to get a whole lot better with the migrating Humpback whales passing by. Some have already been spotted from a distance as the estimate this year is almost 35,000! We are super excited to be able to showcase the spectacular Double Island Point and Great Sandy National Park in all it’s glory and at the most peaceful, quiet and amazing time of year. If your after a truly unique kayak tour experience that is off the beaten track then jump on board our Epic Ocean Adventure this season departing Noosa and Rainbow Beach daily.

Here is a great little feature of our amazing area and fun exciting things to do in Rainbow Beach! We were lucky enough to have to Today Show come through and check out this wicked location we have! They were running very late and just missed out on seeing 8 humpback whales pass by our kayaks. But was able to see many Bottlenose Dolphins, turtles and some Manta Rays. A great day had and the spectacular Double Island Point.
Last weekend saw 50+ Gurkhas from Nepal come and spend 3 solid sessions with us learning to surf, stand up paddle and kayak with dolphins at the spectacular Double Island Point. The Gurkhas are currently in Australia as part of the British Army training with the Australian army at the camp Kerr base just outside of Rainbow Beach.
We had perfect weather at Double Island Point, some nice swell to learn to surf and stand up paddle and a great group! We would like to thank them for an Epic 3 days. We look forward to the even bigger group next month.
A number of local business owners were very please with the extra business over the Anzac weekend that was created from these guys staying in Rainbow Beach.
Lastly, on the last day we were saddened by the news of the earthquake that hit Nepal and our deepest sympathy to those effected by the devastation.
