Only accessible by 4WD vehicle’s and set within the Great Sandy National Park is the hidden crown of the Sunshine Coast, Double Island Point.

Double Island Point is buzzing with marine life with large Bottlenose dolphin pods, Humpback whales, turtles, rays and sea birds all frequent here. See the crazy soldier crabs in their thousands at low tide feeding around the lagoons.
The spectacular coloured sand cliffs are a real tour highlight. Situated along the stretch from Rainbow Beach to Double Island Point, the rich mineral sand dunes boast a highlight of 72 different colours and is a stunning backdrop. According to the legends of the Kabi people (Aboriginals of South East Queensland) , the dunes were coloured when Yiningie, a spirit represented by a rainbow, plunged into the cliffs after doing battle with an evil tribesman.
